2024 is nearly over. It was quite a good year for music I think, especially Trance as we saw quite some influential and new names alike bring back the Golden Millennium Trance days through their Anthemic bangers. Long may it continue (although not so long that it starts to bore us hahaha!). 2024 was without the a doubt, the year of Ferry Corsten. His album Connect was finally released and in the months building up to the album coming out, Ferry dropped banger after banger. All of it accumulated in him and Marsh crafting my Tune Of The Year 2024!
I'd also like to give a big shout out to SUPERSTRINGS and David Broaders for their brilliant contributions to this year's Razor Top 30. Other notable mentions are Kraak & Smaak, even though it was for their 2019 album Pleasure Centre: I only discovered it in Spring this year but it's a testimony to the album's longevity that it can still rock someone's day half a decade onward. Airwave had an awesome year too with lots of diverse tunes throughout whilst Legends such as Alex M.O.R.P.H. (as MRPHLNDR), Arnej, Cosmic Gate, Rank 1, Push and Armin van Buuren all delivered trademark gems. And last but not least, this year's list will end with three D&B shredders I discovered courtesy of my gf. These are some cracking tracks and though they are from a genre I haven't explored that much yet, I feel that might change with the impact they made!
