And thus we find ourselves in the final stretch of summer... I feel like the sunny days have gone by waaaaay too fast (after starting unacceptably late btw). Bleh... No worries though, where the summer might have let us down this year, the music has been tremendous!
I am very pleased to offer you this month's Selection featuring some stellar melodic tracks with some darker gems in between. Airwave has been on a roll this year, dropping a new tune seemingly every other week but the diversity in styles deserves praise! Rains has such a cinematic, Sunday morning vibe to it, I adore it! Also big up Silva City, they've been kicking things up this year with some stellar Classic-sounding Trancers! We also have to give a shout-out to Solarstone and JES, who drop a surprising little summer gem in the guise of Love Comes Quickly (Disco Mix): Apparently there are producers that DO know how to release a Dub Mix but then the irony here is who in their right minds would want to cut out absolute Trance Siren Royalty JES?? She sounds as enchanting as ever here and the whole track is just such a pure summer vibe!
Another shout-out has to go to my Champion of the last three years: mr. David Broaders. I didn't think we'd get an incredible follow-up to Lore, let alone so soon but with Interplanetary he makes yet another ironclad case for Top 30 2024 inclusion... How does he do it?? Bolier returns with a brace under his BLR guise and both of them remind me of his delicious older stuff... My Precious has hints of his 2015 WSTLNDR project to it whilst Endless takes me back to the days of Summernight Confessions, Bonaire, Crazy People etc... Can you believe those bangers are about to turn 20 years old??
Last but most definitely not least, allow yourself to get wowed by the King, Ferry Corsten: his Just Breathe was a redhot ID these past months and rightfully so. There is something very Eye-Q Trance Records/Brainchild to that insanely addicting main hook and that alone makes this one a must-hear!
