Razormane Selects [September 2025]

In an era where articles from virtually any sector are being written by A.I. at an alarming rate and then copy-pasted on websites with some "writer" claiming credit, you can count on The Razormane Blog to bring you the human-written, irrelevant ramblings from a passionate, music-loving fool as has been the case since May 2012. ;) Enjoy!

As the pleasant warm weather slowly starts to fade and make way for autumn (sadly!), Razormane Selects returns to bring you some of the finest late-summer bangers on offer!

But before I do the usual summing up of (Trance) Legends doing God's work, we are going to do things a little different this time. Usually I don't stray very far from Electronic Dance Music, but this month I want to give some attention to a good friend and former colleague of mine who has slowly been working his way towards performing and recording a full album as a solo artist! He was part of a Dutch R&B formation that was signed by MoTown back in the '90s and now he's working on his solo career. During the pandemic he shared snippets of his work with me and now he's on his third single. Ladies, gents and everything in between, please lend a play to my dear friend Clyde Alright! This is his single "Je Moest Eens Weten":

A gritty vocal of a man laying bare his shortcomings and fears, expressing the pain and uncertainty that torments so many of us every day of our lives, whilst acknowledging that this battle with inner demons is his own. It is at once a lament followed by a sense of purpose to overcome. Clyde provides a range of raw, pensive and exasperated emotions whilst the production is as smooth and captivating as they come. A perfect blend I say! Check it out. :)

After you've shown my boy some love, we return to the usual dish of Electronic goodness with a MASSIVE line-up for you. Gems await by the Ever-Incredible Rank 1; a catchy shadow-dropped Bervoets & De Goeij inspired BnO feat. Cartouche; the suprise-of-the-summer Pop Dance Anthem by Roy Stroebel (better known as Strobe); a Rave-honoring banger courtesy of Ferry Corsten & SUPERSTRINGS; one of 2025's nastiest bassgrooves thansk to Dutch all-rounder Ruben de Ronde as NRG2000 with none other than Italian Techno Titan Mauro Picotto; a Mark-Spoon-meets-Gouryella-esque anthem by Markus Schulz; the evidence Tech Trance is still very much alive-and-kicking by Stoneface & Terminal; Balearic beachy vibes by Progressive Craftsman David Broaders; the prime example how to respectfully remix a Fatima Yamaha Classic in '25 by rising star KI/KI; delicious energetic Trancey grooves from the Legendary High Contrast Recordings imprint through nilSix and als through VEENMOL... And there is still room for more! So I'd say, give this list a spin, you certainly won't regret it!
