This beauty kicks off with a strong tugging bassline, aiming to suck you into its laidback groove. I dare youbto try and resist this infectious beat! At 0:58 a delightful synthesizer pad lays bare the track's melodic direction. It's a simple melody but the sound of the pad is rich with a nostalgia-inducing warmth, a vibrant '80s atmosphere... Everytime this pad hits, I can't surpress the joy it awakens in me. However, the masterstroke of this masterpiece is revealed near 02:00. A lead which is as rhythmically captivating as it is melodically beautiful. Envotion deploy another synthesizer beauty and once this lead combines with the pad from the build-up, their synthesis causes a mixture that contains the sadness/longing of nostalgia as well as the careful promise of joy contained by hope. The track's slower tempo goes so well with the rhythm of its melodies. What an incredible record. I think it has already reached over 50 plays in the first two weeks since I bought it?
When I first checked out its preview on BeatPort, it instantly grabbed me and I have to admit I can't remember the last time a track caught me like that: surprise at the sheer beauty unfolding in my ears followed by a sense of gratitude as it played on. It really is to early to call it, isn't it? Tune Of The Year? The last time a track made me ponder its TOTY credentials in the first quarter of the year was in 2013 when Pete Oak's An Ode To My Love (a free download, can you believe it??) left a similar strong impression. The best part about this is that the next track is another potential TOTY candidate and at this moment, Latest News' only competitor.

Verdict
We Are = 9/10. This album has been on repeat on a
daily basis for the past two and a half weeks and it has yet to start boring
me. Individually the latter half of the album might not stand that strong but
this is an album that works best in union with each of its separate components.
The first two tracks are so incredible they set a fantastic mood FISH FISH FISH
